SMS is an excellent way to support customer service in mobile field work.

The integration between Fieldworker and SMSAPI lets you send text messages to end customers, so they always know what stage their job has reached.

SMSAPI offers two options, ECO and PRO. ECO sends the message from a random phone number: cheaper, but less practical. The end customer may try to reply to that number or even call it. Those numbers are drawn at random from the SMSAPI pool, so every attempt to contact them will fail. PRO messages, by contrast, let you put any text of up to 11 characters in the sender field, your company name for example.
