Two changes you will notice most in everyday work: the new job form can now be adapted to your own company, and working time is entered in a single window, as a whole cycle rather than entry by entry.

A job form that matches how you work

Not every company uses the same fields. From now on, the ones you do not use simply disappear from the form. Nobody has to scroll past them or explain to a new starter what they are for.

The other side of the same change matters more. You can specify what a job cannot be saved without: the address, the person reporting it, a phone number, an email or a tax number. You can also require that a piece of equipment or a task list be added. That way a job never reaches a technician without the information he needs before setting off.

The settings can be made once for the whole company or separately for each job type. An inspection can therefore require equipment and a task list, while an ordinary call-out need not require anything beyond the basics.

If something is missing when you save, the app now says exactly what. Previously the save could simply fail without explanation. And until you change anything in the settings, everything works exactly as it did before.

The whole working day in one window

Travel, work, the return trip and any suspension are now entered together, in one form. Each block is optional and has its own start and end time, so you enter only what actually happened.

You can see as you go how much each block came to and what the total is. If the times are reversed, with the end before the start, you see that before saving. The cycle can also run past midnight, so night work is entered normally without splitting it across two days. Correcting the whole cycle takes one click.

While we were at it we fixed a bug where, with two technicians on one job, entries could get mixed up between them or fail to save.

One small thing to finish: a job dragged from the buffer onto a worker now disappears from the side list immediately, without refreshing the page.
