Elektryk24h.com, owned by Wojciech, is, as the name suggests, a company working in the electrical trade. Its offer runs from replacing a socket to carrying out a complex, complete electrical installation. The company operates nationally with branches in the larger cities: Gdańsk, Poznań, Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław. A team spread out like that is a real challenge when it comes to managing jobs and reporting the work done, and on top of that there is settling up with customers. That last point has now been solved.
The fiscal printer
Together with our customer we found a solution using an internet-connected fiscal printer from Novitus. After a quick consultation with the tax office in Gdańsk we got to work. The result is a module that lets you issue a receipt from anywhere in the world on a fiscal printer sitting at the company head office.
How it works
Technicians complete the job at the customer using Fieldworker. When the job is closed the app asks the user how much was collected from the customer and what the payment type was: cash, card or transfer. After syncing with the server the system automatically sends a signal to the fiscal printer, which prints a physical receipt, while Fieldworker emails a PDF copy of it to the end customer. The whole thing takes a few seconds, so we can confirm the document was received. Every receipt carries the payment type, the job number and the name of the technician who issued it.
Summary
Integrating with a fiscal printer cuts the office work involved in operating in the field, whatever kind of service you provide. Automating processes makes your business more scalable without having to bring in more people.
